Non Destructive Assay (NDA) pour la caractérisation des déchets nucléaires

La calorimétrie est la méthode d'analyse de haute sensibilité nécessaire pour la caractérisation des matériaux et déchets nucléaire.
Les déchets radioactifs stockés dans un container émettent des radiations α et β (exemple du curium, plutonium, tritium, etc.), qui se matérialisent par une quantité de chaleur proportionnelle à la quantité du matériau radioactif. Cette émission de chaleur peut être mesurée en utilisant un calorimètre de SETARAM.
Les calorimètres grand-volumes de SETARAM instrumentation (de 1 l à 90 l) sont capables de détecter des effects thermiques de quelques μW dues aux radiations .
