Analyse thermique et calorimétrie pour la sécurité des procédés |

Le Laboratoire de Sécurité des Procédés est essentiel pour toute installation chimique, quelque soit le volume des matières synthétisées, chaque étape du procédé et chaque produit doivent être évalués, en ce qui concerne la stabilité thermique et l'impact potentiel sur la protection des opérateurs et sur l'environnement, sur la sécurité de l'usine. |

Le criblage, qui est la première et la plus simple étape, nécessite une évaluation de chaque réactif de départ, de chaque produit intermédiaire ou produit fini, pour déterminer leur stabilité thermique dans les conditions industrielles. Cette étape, réalisée à l'aide de DSC ou du TSu, permet de savoir si une étude de risque plus poussée est nécessaire. Les conditions normales sont étudiées à l'aide de la calorimétrie isotherme et de réaction pour déterminer l'élévation de température et de pression associé à chque procédé. Ainsi il est possible de dimensionner le système de refroidissement nécéessaire sur un procédé. Chaque scénario d'emballement, une fois établi, doit être parfaitement qualifié par une détermination précise d'impact. Le temps d'emballement et l'évolution de la pression sont déterminés par la calorimétrie adiabatique. Des systèmes à faible inertie thermique ("low Phi-factor") peuvent également être utilisés pour déterminer des solutions d'évents d'urgence. La température d'autodécomposition (SADT) et l'ensemble des données de risque thermique peuvent être déterminer précisemment grâce au logiciel de cinétique. La simulation à partir d'un nombre limité de tests et de calculs cinétiques avancés permet de réduire de façon significative le temps et les ressources nécessaires aux expérimentations. |

SIMULARDepending on the results of the thermal screening tests, it is possible to study the reaction on the larger scale (~1litre) with the SIMULAR. Here the objective is to study the desired reaction and confirm the safety and operability of the process. SIMULAR is a computer controlled reaction calorimeter with features that allow all key reaction parameters to be reliably scaled, minimising the cost of pilot trials. Reactions are run exactly as they will be on the large scale and conditions are accurately reproduced. Power output released under these conditions is measured as the reaction is performed and the data can be put to a variety of uses. See more. |
