L’exigence d’une énergie toujours plus propre et plus accessible offre de nombreux thèmes de recherche. Nous avons créé un ensemble de solutions clé en main pour des sujets aussi différents que l’étude de sorption de gaz (CO2, H2, CH4 …), l’évaluation de l’efficacité et de la sécurité des batteries, la formation des hydrates de gaz, et meme l’évaluation non destructive des déchets nucléaires. |

Nucléaire |
| Depuis l’extraction du minerai jusqu’au recyclage du combustible et à la gestion des déchets, chaque étape du cycle de l'énergie nucléaire nécessite une caractérisation des différents matériaux employés ainsi qu’une quantification précise des éléments radioactifs. L’analyse thermique et la calorimétrie peuvent alors apporter des réponses précises à chacune de ces interrogations. |

Pile à combustible & Hydrogène |
| L'hydrogène peut être produit comme un combustible propre et stockable à partir des énergies primaires non-fossiles—solaire, éolien, hydraulique, la biomasse, la géothermie, le nucléaire, ou encore les marées. Le stockage de l'hydrogène dans des matériaux solides est une des solutions sûre et efficace pour stocker l'énergie, à la fois pour des applications stationnaires et mobiles concernant les piles à combustibles. Les techniques calorimétriques sont idéales pour étudier les capacités de stockage de divers matériaux sous une pression normale et élevée. Les techniques thermiques sont aussi utilisées pour les études sur les céramiques et les matériaux utilisés dans les piles à combustibles. |

Capture et séquestration de C02 |
| La génération d'énergie neutre en carbone ne repose pas uniquement sur le développement des énergies renouvelables mais également sur la mise en place de technologie pour rendre les sources d'énergie, existantes et futures, plus éco-responsables. Matériaux à stokage d'énergie |

Biomasse |
| Thermogravimetry allows acquiring data on biomass decomposition (combustion, torrefaction or pyrolysis) steps involving mass losses. Simultaneous differential scanning calorimetry detects all the heat effects of the sample, and volatiles can be transferred to gas analyzers for identification. |

Energies fossiles |
| Les Energies Fossiles sont présentes dans la nature sous différents aspects: solide, liquide ou gazeux. La majeure partie de ces énergies est directement brûlée comme combustible, carbonisée ou distillée afin de produire des combustibles secondaires. Le traitement Thermique revêt une importance capitale dans les utilisations des énergies fossiles. L' Analyse Thermique et la Calorimétrie sont en effet d'un intérêt réel dans ce domaine, par exemple pour le pétrole brut, le charbon, shistes bitumineux ou les huiles lourdes concernant leur classification et caractérisation, pour leur transformation thermique ou encore leur procédé de combustion. |

Catalyseurs & Adsorbants |
| Catalysts are generally used to lower the energy input necessary for a chemical reaction to occur and to increase the corresponding reaction rate. On the industrial scale, it allows running reactions at temperatures lower than those that are naturally requested. Catalytic reaction schemes often go through a first step of adsorption of at least one of the reactants, and can thus be studied as simple adsorbents. Adsorbents such as zeolites, active carbons, MOF’S are also investigated for their properties of gas storage (hydrogen, CO2). Thermogravimetry and volumetry are techniques allowing the quantification of the adsorbate, and calorimetry provides key data for the determination of the strength and nature of the interactions. |

Hydrates de Gaz |
| Bien que les hydrates de gaz soient connus pour leur capacité à stocker de grandes quantités de méthane avec alors d’importantes implications dans le domaine des ressources énergétiques, leur contrôle naturel et leur influence sur l’environnement restent mal connus. Avec l’adaptation technique de la DSC aux mesures sous haute pression, la calorimétrie s’avère la technique la mieux adaptée pour prédire la formation des hydrates de gaz, pour déterminer leurs propriétés thermodynamiques et suivre la cinétique de formation et de dissociation quelque soit le gaz ou le mélange. |
